Annie was the eldest child of James Harvey Lamm and Martha Lucnda Biggs.
Sometime in the summer of 1866 Annie, her parents and three siblings migrated from Graves County, Kentucky to Texas.
They traveled by wagon train with at least six other families.
They first lived in the settlement of Sulfur in Hopkins County. After two years they moved to Hunt County and made their home here.
Annie was raised in the Tidwell Commuity in Hunt county, Texas. Her father was a farmer, teacher, and a Presbyterian circuit rider. Her father's preaching caused him to be away from home for long extended time. During his absence his wife Martha occasionally had to protect the livestock from wolves and wildcats.
Annie had seven brothers and three sisters.
Walter Lee who died on August 09, 1863 in Graves County, Kentucky, he was one years old, William David (Will), Luther Winslow he was almost a year old when they made the move, James Harvey,
John Adams, Joseph Thomas (Joe),Emory Caleb (Em), Jesse Young (Dock), Ida May, Martha Elizabeth (Bet) and Mary Alice.
Annie married Robert Shaw Patterson on November 02, 1876 in Hunt County, Texas.
Their children were
Bertha, Jim, Luther, Jon, Ott, Jeff and Opal Patterson
