MOUNT CARMEL — Norbert B. Boslego, 85, of 318 S. Poplar St., died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at his residence. Born in Mount Carmel on May 11, 1923, he was a son of the late Joseph and Esther (Yuskoski) Boslego. He was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel, except when he resided in Philadelphia for 35 years. He was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Class of 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Okinawa, Japan. He was married on July 22, 1989, in Mother of Consolation Church in Mount Carmel, to Florence Staskiel, who survives. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel and last worked for Government Services in Philadelphia. He was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, now Church of Our Lady in Mount Carmel, and was a member of Mount Carmel American Legion. He was also a member of Mount Carmel V.F.W., Mount Carmel Area Athletic Alumni Association, the Mount Carmel Elks, the Republican National Committee and the Humane Society. Norbert was deeply religious and he devoted much of his time to his parish. Norbert was presented the Distinguished Service and Leadership in Legislative Activity on Behalf of the Victims of Hemophilia, Delaware Valley Chapter, National Hemophilia Foundation. Survivors include wife, Florence (DiCino) Boslego of Mount Carmel; two daughters, Charlene Boslego of Atlas and Anna Boslego of Troy, N.Y.; stepson Stanley and his wife, Patricia Staskiel of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren Nicole Potter of Philadelphia, Joe Bowers of Liverpool, Jared Staskiel of Bloomsburg and Abigail and David Staskiel of Wilkes-Barre; two brothers, Vincent Boslego of Norfolk, Va., and Joseph and his wife, Alverta Boslego, of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Evelyn Boslego of Mount Carmel and Dolores Reiner of Shamokin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlete Swierupski, with whom he had his four children; another wife, Emma Mitchell; a son, Michael Boslego, on May 5, 1994; and another son, George Boslego, on Oct. 23, 1994.

BOSLEGO — Norbert B. Boslego, 85, of 318 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Our Lady in Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Raymond Orloski officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Viewing will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, with prayer service at 10 a.m. from C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following: Delaware Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, 222 S.
