Evelyn T. Boslego, 87, formerly of 201 W. Mulberry St., Shamokin, died suddenly Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born in Mount Carmel, Oct. 27, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Esther (Yuskoski) Boslego.

She attended Holy Cross School in Mount Carmel.

Prior to her retirement, Evelyn worked as a nurse's aide in Philadelphia for more than 20 years.

While living in Philadelphia, Evelyn purchased a city bus pass and made good use of it by traveling the city. She loved going to the courthouse and observing the proceedings and attending roller derby games and WWF wrestling matches. She also possessed a generous heart, always giving gifts to everyone she met, especially within her family. Not to mention, Evelyn was the best babysitter and loved all children.

She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, now Church of Our Lady in Mount Carmel.

Survivors include her brother, Joseph Boslego and his wife, Alverta, of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Dolores Reiner, of Shamokin, and nieces and nephews, Joseph Boslego, Linda Detty, Diane Lukoskie, Robert Reiner, Joseph Reiner, Stephen Reiner, Susan Carter, Barbara Boslego, John Boslego, Bob Boslego, Bill Boslego and David Boslego.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Vincent, Norbert and Ralph Boslego.
