Oran Malon Collins, 32, of Rt. 2, Lafayette, was killed in a three-car accident at the southeast edge of the city shortly before midnight Saturday. He was thrown from the car driven by his brother-in-law, and struck the high fence surrounding the Aluminum Company of America plant at U.S. 52 Bypass and Ind. 38. He died early Sunday morning [May 14, 1960] on route to the hospital.

Mr. Collins was born at Jonesville, VA, and came to Lafayette in 1945. In 1953 was married to Lois Ellis, and was an employee of the West Side Laundry.

Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Cathy Jane and Deborah Lynn, both at home; seven sisters, Mrs. Robert Fields, Mrs. Eules Shackelford, Mrs. Duane Speer, Mrs. Gladys Roark, Mrs. Robert Cain, all of Lafayette, Mrs. Ethel Emery, and Mrs. Murphy Cavins, both of Tecumseh, MI; and three brothers, Wiley Collins, Calvin Collins, both of Lafayette, and Walter Collins of Jonesville, VA.
