Lillian Juanita "Nita" Packer passed away on March 5, 2013. She passed away peacefully in her sister's home in Jacksonville, Texas, after a long battle with heart disease and kidney failure.
She was born Lillian Juanita Pearce in Mineola Wood County, Texas on November 19, 1935. She worked for Duke University Medical Center until retirement.
She married Gerald Robert Packer in 1953 and loved him until his death in 1990.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Robert Packer Jr., Lee Allan Packer, David Wayne Packer, and William Keith Packer. Surviving grandchildren are Holly Packer, Chase Packer, Delaney Packer, Anna Packer, Justin Packer, Kristen Packer, Jessica Packer, Chad Packer, Zack Packer, Luke Packer, Cameron Packer and Courtney Packer. Surviving sisters are Willie Chambers, Brenda Hendrickson, and Sharon Steele.
The memorial service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church at 5512 Snow Camp Road, Graham, on March 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. Immediately following service, she will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
