Acting First Sergeant from 10 to 11-1861. Reduced to ranks 3-28-1862. Severely wounded at Gettysburg--gunshot perforating abdomen right side. 1st Division/12th Corps General Field Hospital Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Died of wounds.
