Clifton O Rizer, 53, for years a molder at the Marion Steam Shovel Co., died at 11:30 o'clock last night at his home, 683 Bennett St, after a seven weeks illness of influenza and complications.
Mr. Rizer was born Aug.22, 1876, in Logan County, to Stephen and Sarah Rizer, both of Hocking County, Ohio. The parents are dead. He was married Feb. 2, 1895 at Nelsonville, Ohio to Laura Estelene Greene who preceded him in death on Apr 6, 1924. His second wife, the former Lillian Young, to whom he was married, July 31, 1926 is living.
Surviving children are Harry E Rizer of Nelsonville, James B Rizer of Mansfield, Arthur D Rizer of Kenton, Howard D Rizer of 319 Waterloo St, a step daughter Mrs. A. F Heffman of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. W W Johnston of Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. Clara Woltz, of Haydenville; William Rizer of Logan, Mrs. A McFadden of Delaware, Mrs Mary Allen of Columbus, D H Rizer of Los Angeles, CA, O E Rizer of Clinton St; Mrs. Ira Truman, Florida and Merle Rizer of Ft Wayne, Ind. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Epworth Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev Dr C E Turley officiating. Burial will be made in Marion Cemetery.
