Mrs. Bessie Bridge Betts, died at 3 o'clock Sunday morning, suddenly of a heart attack, at her home on Old Town road.
She was born October 27, 1872, the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Bridge. Educated in the Clearfield High School and Penna State College and was united in marriage to Frederick Gregory Betts, who preceded her in death in April, 1918.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Kate Highberger of Cincinnati, Ohio, and two brothers: Will Bridge of New York City and Edward Bridge of Vean City, Florida; also the following children: Mrs. John K. Dufton of Clearfield; Miss Suzette Elizabeth Betts of New York City; William W. Betts of Florida and Frederick G. Betts of Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held from the home, 729 Old Town road at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Dr. Charles Maclay of the Philipsburg Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be made in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Harry Boulton, Fr. John Gordon, General Fred. Kerr and C. T. Kurtz.
