Service for Richard B. Blaisdell, 81, will be held at 10 am today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3 pm at Creston Cemetery.

Mr. Blaisdell who was born in Creston, died Wednesday.

He worked for Kaiser Aluminum at the Trentwood Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1981.

Mr. Blaisdell was a member of the Concordia Masonic Lodge No. 249, El Katif Shrine, Moon Shriners, Trinity Amaranth, Magnolia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, Coeur d'Alene Eagles Lodge and Creston Christian Church. He was also named 4-H leader of the year at the Rathdrum (Idaho) Grange.

His wife, Gail, died in 1993.

Survivors include a son, Bert Blaisdell of Otis Orchards; three daughters, Elaine Bacon of Coeur d'Alene , Jan Bacon of Twin Lakes, Idaho and Dianne Blaisdell-Holmes of Atlanta; a sister, Bonnie Knoll of Otis Orchards; 12grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Creston Christian Church.
