NAMPA — Services for James Riley Sharp, 82, of 619 Elder St., Nampa, who died Tuesday in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Midway Bible Missionary Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Gene E. Stanley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
He was born June 19, 1898, bear Austin, Texas, to George and Ida Sharp. At the age of 2, he moved with his family to Colorado, where he was reared and educated. He married Ressie Noe in 1919, in Ada, Okla., where they lived. They later moved to Casper, Wyo. She died in 1957. He married Elizabeth Margaret McRoberts in 1959, in Hermosa Beach, Calif. They moved to Nampa in 1964. He worked for 15 years in the grocery business in Wyoming and for 20 years at Reichold Chemical Co. near San Francisco. He was a member of the Midway Bible Missionary Church.
Survivors include his wife of Nampa; daughter, Dolores Sigmon of El Centro, Calif.; a stepson, Jack McRoberts of Casper; three stepdaughters, Venus Nelson of Spokane, Wash., Dorothy McRoberts of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Jo Piller of Kamiah; three half brothers, Dean, Earl and Parker Allen, all of Denver; 27 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons and a half sister.
