TEXAS CITY - Funeral services for Sharon Yancy, 17, will be held at I p.m. Saturday at the Progressive Baptist Church, (he Rev. B. W. McWashinglon officiating.

Burial will be in Rising Star Cemetery, La Marque, under the direction of the Mainland Funeral Home.

Miss Yancy was dead on arrival at Galveston County Memorial Hospital late Sunday following an automobile accident in La Marque.

A wake will be held from 7 to 9 pm. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Friday and before 11:30 a.m Saturday at the funeral home.

Miss Yancy was born Aug. 1, 1951, in Texas City. A member of Progressive Baptist Church, she was a junior at La Marque High School. She lived at 6413 Sapphire in Texas City.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Climmiel T. Yancy; four brothers, John L. Yancy. Climmiel T. Yancy Jr.. Climmiel T. Yancy III and Kevin Yancy; two sisters. Helen Yancy and Denise Yancy, all of Texas City; and a grandmother. Mrs, Hattie Williams of Fort Worth.

Pallbearers will be Gerald W. Craver, Leon Pallerson, Lionel Williams, Charles R. Williams, Joseph Guillory and Richard Taylor Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Clark. Michael Patterson, Michael Kidd. Ronald Solomon, Graylon Walker and Lloyd Sowell.
