Survived by: his wife of 43 years, Rosemary Benning; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Nathan Proffitt; son, James Benning; 2 grandchildren, Katelyn and Jacob Proffitt; cousin, Jack D. Benning; a sister-in-law; 2 nephews; 1 niece; a host of other friends and relatives. Family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 25, 2005 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Stanleys Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 26, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
