Funeral services for Mr. Lewrel Dee "Jack" Harris, age 91 of Lineville, will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Reverend John Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mr. Harris passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native and life-long resident of Clay County, he was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 104th Infantry Division – The Timberwolf Division. Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Harris worked for over 35 years as a cloth room foreman with Chickapee Manufacturing. He also loved fishing and was a member of Providence Methodist Church.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bonnie Kay Harris of Lineville; two daughters: Brenda Wentz of Douglasville, GA and Jonell Bishop (Doug) of Lineville; one son, Fred Harris (Mary) of Lineville; four grandchildren: David Wentz, Annette Alexander, Scott Wentz and Justin Bishop; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents: Jessie Parker Harris and Margaret Angeline Hanners Harris; three sisters and several half-sisters and brothers.

Pallbearers will be David Wentz, Scott Wentz, Justin Bishop, Robby Alexander, Brian Hann and Roger Whitman. Joe Harris will serve as honorary pallbearer.
