She moved with her husband Harvey around 1891 to Oregon as part of the exodus of allied families to the west coast from Linn, Kansas. She moved with the family to Santa Clara, California, by 1900. She died in the County Infirmary, Santa Clara, Santa Clara County, California, a few months after the birth of her last child, Marian Cleona Shatto.
