CEDAR FALLS--Funeral services for Mrs. Alta K. Nelson, 63, of 7406 W. First St., will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at Nazareth Lutheran Church with the Rev. Homer Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at Dahl-VanHove-Schoof Funeral Home after 1 p.m. today until 9 a.m. tomorrow and from 10 a.m. tomorrow until service time at the church.
Mrs. Nelson died at 5:50 p.m.-Friday at University Hospital in Iowa City of cancer.
She was born May 11,1909, in Ellendale, Minn., the daughter of [Peter Christian] P. Chris and Marie [Eliza "Mary"]Nelsen Hansen. She married Carl F. Nelson Nov. 28, 1929, at Nazareth Lutheran Church. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Sunshine Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dale of Oelwein, and Ross of Lucas; a brother, Herbert Hansen of Audubon; a sister, Lydia Hansen of 208 E. 10th St.; a foster brother, LeRoy Johnston of Crystal Lake, Minn.; and 12 grandchildren.
The family requests those who wish give memorials to the Christian Crusaders or to the organ fund at Nazareth Lutheran Church.
