James W. "Jay Lucky" Sheffield III, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born March 24, 1948 to James and Lucille Sheffield in Seattle, Washington.
James married Cheryl Worthington on June 10, 1993. She survives of the home.
He was a great handyman and prankster.
Mr. Sheffield was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hazel, Ardie, and Willadean.
Survivors: wife; daughters, Ruth Blackwell (Richard), Emporia, Kansas, Amy Septer, Wichita, Kansas, Melissa Van Belkum, St. Joseph, Missouri, Kristy Bunton (Jeremy), Rolla, Missouri, Mary Sheffield, Springfield, Missouri; son, Dallas Sheffield, St. Joseph, Missouri; brothers, Jesse and Everett Sheffield; sister, Dixie Moore; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Friday.
