DIGHTON - June D. Bartlett, 75, died Jan. 14,
1999, at the Grisell Memorial Long Term
Care Unit, Ransom.

She was born June 22, 1923, at Brownell,
the daughter of Charles Vincent and Mae
Elizabeth Squier Fairbank. She graduated
from Ransom High School.

A Dighton resident since 1941, she was a
homemaker and worked at the Dighton Herald
and the Lane County Road Department as a secretary.

She belonged to United Methodist Church,
Dighton, the American Legion Auxiliary, the
Book of the Month Club, and was a past Cub
Scout den mother and a past 4-H leader.

In March 1941, she married Floyd E. Bartlett.
Survivors include: two sons, Don, Wichita,
and Gary, Dighton; a daughter, Peggy Little,
Stillwater, Okla.; three brothers, Paul Fairbank, Independence, Chet Fairbank,
Cimarron, and Bob Fairbank, McPherson;
five sisters, Audrey Lentz, Lawton, Okla.,
Laura Kraft, Great Bend, Carol
Small, Liberty, Texas, Esther Zordel, Ransom,
and Dora Yoder, Las Vegas; seven
grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers,
Richard, Ralph and Elmer Fairbank; and a
sister, Burdene Schweitzer.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at
United Methodist Church, Dighton, with the
Rev. Tod Anthony presiding. Burial will be
in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may
be sent to Lane County Hospital or to the
Grisell Memorial Long Term Care Unit, both
in care of Boomhower Funeral Home, Dighton.
