ADA — Funeral services for Joy Rea Bohanon, 67, Ada will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 at the
Bible Baptist Church in Ada. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery east of Ada. Officiating will
be Harold Holt.
Mrs. Bohanon died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at an Ada hospital. She was born May 21, 1944 in Ada to
Louis Lyda and Francis Greenwood.
Mrs. Bohanon graduated from Byng High School in 1962. She married J.B. Bohanon in 1992 in Byng.
She was a longtime resident of Ada and was a affiliated with the Bible Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bohanon is survived by her husband, J.B. Bohanon of the home; one daughter, Jacqueline Clark
of Ada; three brothers, Dewayne Ott of Ada, Manuel Ott of Denton, Texas, and Fred Lyda of Pauls
Valley; two sisters, Angie Igo of Oklahoma Ctiy, and May Sellers of Ada; and four grandchildren,
Aaron and Mike Cooper of Ada, OK, and Suzyrae and Thurlow Clark of Leon, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gene Anthony Clark; her parents, Louis Lyda and Francis Greenwood;
five brothers, Bill Greenwood, Sam Ott, Frank Lyda, Marvin Lyda, and Gary Lyda; and two sisters,
Margaret Heard and Janet Lyda.
Pallbearers: Aaron Cooper, Mike Cooper, Thurlow Clark, Shannon Wright, Jimmy Ireland, Michael Engelhaupt,
