Rex B. Blackshear
Rex B. Blackshear, 59, 'Rt. 1,
Sumner, died at his home Thursday,
Dec. 22.
Services will be held Saturday,
Dec. 24, at 10 a.m. at the Evangel
Church of God with the Rev. Othoe
Stegall officiating. Burial will be in
Tigertown Cemetery by Bright-
Holland Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends
from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.
Mr. Blackshear was born July 1,
1929, in Phoenix, Ariz., a son of
Charlie Mitchell and Maggie Lee
Jackson Blackshear. He married
Faye Clawson on June 18, 1951, in
Texarkana. He retired from. the
Paris Fire Department after 29
years. He had served in the Army
and was a member of the Pathway
Church of God.
Surviving are his wife; two sons,
Phillip Blackshear of Paris and
Harvey Blackshear of Paris; one
daughter, Deborah Head of Paris;
seven grandchildren; three sisters,
Mrs. Wanza Kilpatrick of Paris.
Ernestine Hindman of Hopeweli
and Gladys Blackshear of Redmon,
Ore.; and six brothers, Joe
Blackshear of Paris, Junior
Blackshear of Tigertown, Paul
Blackshear of Tigertown, Curtis
Blackshear of Forest Hill, Wayne
