KEELING
Curtis Keeling, 82, husband of Anna Ruth Matherly Keeling, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 20, 1930 in Burgin, he was the son of the late Cecil James and Rose Lee Fowler Keeling. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, was retired from the Kentucky Utilities E.W. Brown Plant, and was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, William David Keeling of Bryantsville and Cecil (Karen) Keeling of Frankfort; one sister, Juanita Moss of Harrodsburg; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosemary Keeling;
three brothers, James Cecil, Eugene and Burchell Keeling;
one sister Anna Laura Walls, and one grandson, Jared Patrick Keeling.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at the Burgin Baptist Church with Bro. Carl McRay officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Billy Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Jerry Thacker, Jeremy Thacker, Lynn Moss and Jason Lucas.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the Burgin Baptist Church.
