The son of Oliver Adolphus Stark and Mary Ann "Mollie" Wagaman, Harry married Martha B. Palmer at a Baptist church in Sedalia, Missouri on 03 Jun 1916. They did not have any children.

Harry worked for many years in a broom factory located in his hometown, Lamar, Missouri. After that, he worked as a car salesman. The couple lived with his parents in Barton County until the 1930's.

Harry and Martha moved to Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri in the late 1930's. He was unable to work by that time, and Martha took a job as a housekeeping inspector on a government run sewing project. By 1950, she was a stay machine operator for a paper box manufacturing company.

They eventually moved to Independence, Missouri.

Harry fought a long battle with cancer. He died at the University of Kansas Medical Center at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 7 days old.

He was survived by his wife, Martha; 4 brothers, Aubrey Stark of Kansas City, Norvel Stark of Memphis, Tennessee, Eugene Stark of Lamar, and Pete Stark of Boulder, Colorado; and 3 sisters, Belle Sturdevant of Enid, Oklahoma, Ollie Skaggs of Lamar, and Ruby Blatti of Tucson, Arizona.

In addition to his mother and father, Harry was preceded in death by 2 brothers; 1 sister; and an infant sibling.

Harry's wife, Martha, lived until 1989.

Children: None.
