He was the patriarch of a large, highly regarded Dunnville, KY family. His marriage to Shirley Watson Patton, who survives, spanned over 52 years. He leaves 15 direct living descendants. He was retired from Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local 17. Bobby was a Kentucky Colonel and attended Salem United Methodist Church.

Bobby Patton of Dunnville, KY passed away Friday January 25, 2013 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 73.
Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Monday January 28, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn and Bro. Ed Parton officiating. Burial is at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmCT, Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tommy Hayden, Shannon Patton, Timmy Elliott, Carl Griffith, Little Tim Giles, Tim Giles, Robin Giles and Lisa Patton.

He was born Sunday, July 30, 1939 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Robert C. and Edna Barnett Patton. He died Friday, January 25, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 26 days.
He was retired from Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local 17. Bobby was a Kentucky Colonel and attended Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Shirley Watson Patton, whom he married on April 30, 1960, and the following:
A son: Bobby Patton, Jr.
Two daughters: Angela (and Tommy) Hayden and Mechelle (and Tim) Giles.
Three grandson and two granddaughters to whom he was Papaw.
Six great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
His sister: Freida Emerson.
His brother: Bennie (and Nettie) Patton.
An uncle, Tommy Barnett.
And a host of cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Deloris, Waneda and Laura; nephew, Roger Emerson and nieces, Peggy Emerson and Tina Gail Watson.
