Long-time Raymond Resident Dies
Wesley McMullin, who first came to Raymond in 1902, died at his home here Wednesday night. He was 71.
Bishop Murray Hok of the Raymond LDS First Ward will officiate at the funeral services, which are pending.
Born in Utah, Mr. McMullin came to Raymond in 1902, working for the Knight Sugar Factory until it was removed. He then returned to Utah, but seven years later moved back to Raymond to work in the new factory as a machinist.
He retired in 1952 and from 1953 until last fall, he worked as a campground superintendent at Waterton Lakes National Park.
Mr. McMullin was active in music circles in Raymond and conducted an LDS ward choir for 10 years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby McMullin; son Robert of Winnipeg, a well-known Canadian radio and television entertainer, and daughters Mrs. Richard F. H. Turner of Taber and Mrs. Scott Scobille of Raymond. Lethbridge Herald, May 22, 1958
