Citizen is Called to His Reward
Mr. David Adams, aged 88 years, died yesterday shortly after the noon hour. He had been ill for many weeks, being unable to gain his strength, owing to his advanced years, after a severe attack of pneumonia and at that time his life was despaired of and his recuperation a wonder to his many friends. For many years he was a prominent farmer and was one of the most upright and esteemed men in the county, and an old-time courteous gentleman. A pathetic incident in regard to his death is that the day before was the forty-sixth anniversary of his marriage and he just lived to see it, passing away before another day rolled around. Mr. Adams was a life long member of the Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife and five children, Messrs. Clell and Abe Adams, Mrs. Tom Chatham, Miss Sallie Adams, of this place, and Mrs. Nat Thompson of Springfield.
