This morning, about five o'clock, Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman, who resides at 402 Kishwaukee street, quietly breathed her last. Mrs. Chapman has always been in good health, but took a hard cold this summer, since which time she has been in feeble health, and the disease finally resulted in typhoid fever, of which she died. Mrs. Chapman was born in Guilford, July 11th, 1847, and was the daughter of David Andrew, who died a few years ago.
Mrs. Chapman was married on the first of November, 1877, to William Chapman, cabinet maker for J.B. Marsh & Co. who survives her. She leaves one child, a boy, about a year old.
The funeral takes place Wednesday, at two o'clock, from the house at 402 Kishwaukee street, Rev. Wilder Smith officiating.
