Lossie Rewis Rowe Woods, 94, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. She was born in MacClenny, Florida on April 11, 1918.

She retired from the Duval County School Board after 13 years as a teacher's aide at Englewood Elementary. A devoted wife and mother, she was predeceased by her husband, Dan Rowe (1942) and her husband of 58 years, Claude Woods (2001).

She is survived by three children: Jeweldene Rowe Woods (Fred, deceased), Morris Rowe (Susan Haid), and Deborah Woods Harrison (Jim), seven grandchildren: Alan Rowe (Machele), Charlotte Innes, Lynn Rix (Dale), Justin Roper (Moriah), Philip Dzikowski (Stephanie Fleres), Jamie Hayworth (Joe) and James Harrison III; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M. Saturday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Pastor Bruce Kelnhofer, of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday.
