Funeral services for Claude William Woods, 95, will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Dr. Daniel M. Allen and Dr. Charles A. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Rix, Justin Roper, Alan Rowe, Philip Dzikowski II, Robert Woods, and John M. Kelley. Born October 18, 1905 in Live Oak, Florida, Mr. Woods died Friday, July 6, 2001 in Jacksonville. He was a retired car inspector for the Florida East Coast Railroad, and was a member of South Jacksonville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mrs. Lossie Rewis Woods; two daughters, Jeweldene Rowe Woods and Deborah W. Dzikowski, all of Jacksonville; two sons, Fred Woods of Jacksonville and Morris Rowe of Cocoa, FL; two sisters, Bernice Kelly of Gainesville, FL and Lillian Howard of Hilliard, FL; two brothers, Mack Woods of Blakely, Georgia and Buck Woods of Starke, FL; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 6 p.m. until 8p.m. on Monday.
