SCHMIDT - passed away on Friday, March 28th, 1980, Mrs. Kathleen (Kay) Effie Schmidt at the age of 56 years, beloved wife of Mr. Sylvester (Bud) Schmidt of 1032 21st St. South, Lethbridge.
Born, raised and educated in Coalspur, Alberta, the late Mrs. Schmidt came to Lethbridge in 1949 and was involved in many community activities. She managed the Betty Shop, Centre Villa Mall and also Hi --Neighbor hostess for the city of Lethbridge. She was a member of the Quota Club International.
Besides her loving husband she is survived by two sons, xxx Schmidt of Fernie, B. C., xxx Schmidt of Coalhurst; two daughters, Mrs. A. (Heather) xxx of Prince George, B. C., Mrs. B. (Ardyth ) xxx of Wainwright, Alberta ; her mother, Mrs. Effie MacAulay of Lethbridge; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Thirwell of Lethbridge; one brother, Donald MacAulay of Lethbridge; five grandchildren.
