Jonathan A. Briggs, 48, of Orrville, passed into real life and had a grand reunion in his heavenly home with his parents, sister and two nephews on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.

Jon was born April 8, 1964 in Wadsworth to the late Robert and Janice (Harry) Briggs. He graduated in 1982 from Cloverleaf High School and in 1987 from the University of Akron. Jon was a CPA and partner at the Frank, Seringer and Chaney Accounting Firm of Wooster. He was very active in his community as a member of the Kiwanis, treasurer on the board of trustees at the Viola Startzman Free Clinic and member of Leadership Wooster.

Jon grew up in Seville and moved to Orrville in 1994. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, loved music and his dog Stoney.

Jon is survived by his wife Belinda (Miller), sisters Cathy (Harry) Kimes of Homeworth, Wendy (Steve) Avery of Canfield, twin sister Jill (Jeff) DeHaan of Wooster, brothers Bob Briggs of Sparks, Nev., Chris (Janet) Briggs of Doylestown, in-laws John and Georgianna Miller of Orrville and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy Burkett and nephews Michael Burkett and Nicholas Avery.

Jon will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Seville United Methodist Church, 74 W. Main St., Seville.

Rev. Gary Koerth will officiate.

Internment will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville at a later date.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
