Esther B. Langston, 82, of Piqua, passed peacefully into God's loving arms at 10:05 pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 15, 1930 to the late Ralph and Anna (Puterbaugh) McGillvary. She married Richard Langston August 20, 1949 in Troy, a marriage which would span over sixty-three years; and he survives.

She was preceded in death by a sister Mariam McGillvary and two brothers, Martin McGillvary and Ellis McGillvary

Mrs. Langston attended Piqua, Covington and Pleasant Hill schools graduating in 1948. She was a loving homemaker for sixty-two years, earned her degree in nursing in 1972 and retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the office of Dr. Vyas. She attended the Church of the Nazarene since 1936, with membership at the Piqua Church of the Nazarene of Sunset Dr. where she taught Sunday School, Junior Church and served as the Missionary President. She and her husband traveled seven times to Central and South America to build churches and twice to the Sun Valley Indian School of Arizona to work on buildings. She will be deeply missed by her many family and friends.
