Obituary - Stony Brook, October 28 - The death of Mrs. Sarah Eliza Hawkins, aged 70 years, wife of Captain Elbert S. Hawkins, occurred Sunday morning after a long illness of tuberculosis. Funeral services took place at her late home on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Mr. Rosenberg, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. The interment was made in the family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vernon Ball, Mrs. Stanley Jewell and Miss Hattie Hawkins, all residing here; also a brother, Samuel N. Hawkins, of this place. Mrs. Hawkins was the oldest daughter of the late Alonzo and Sarah Marie Hawkins. She was born in Stony Brook and had resided here her whole life.
