Margaret was very dedicated to serving her community and Calhoun County. She was a retired Seadrift City Judge and Justice of the Peace Calhoun County Precinct # 4. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Seadrift, Seadrift Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and Senior Citizens Center.
Margaret was preceeded in death by her parents Martin and Laura DeHart, brothers Stanley and Justin DeHart, sisters Annafaye and husband Van Miller, and Dorothy and husband Lioniel HeBert. Sister in Laws Arlene and Marjorie DeHart.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Seadrift with the Rev. Poodle Wittnebert and Rev. Gerry Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at the Seadrift Cemetery.
