DAYTON - Marvin D. Pratt, 72, of Dayton, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Grandview Health Care Center Hospice in Dayton, with his family by his side.

Marvin has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Rev. Michael Standfest will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin loved to go fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Survivors include four children, Keith (Irene) Pratt of Seguin, Texas, Krystal (Craig) Johnson of Dayton, Iowa, Kathy (Ray) Heun of Dayton, Iowa, and Kevin (Deb) Pratt of Oxford, Iowa; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin Pratt and Glenn "Junebug" Pratt, Jr., both of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. His parents, three sisters; and four brothers preceded him in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
