Edith Plaster, age 91 of Pine Creek, Virginia, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, January 18, 2013 at her home. Born January 22, 1921 in Russell County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Myrtle Sisk Richardson. She attended Pine Creek Log Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Berton (Mickey) Plaster; one daughter, Maxine Jane Freeman; one sister, Rosa Jackson and two brothers, Lawrence Richardson and John Richardson.
She is survived by one daughter, Rita McGlothlin and husband Mike of Swords Creek, VA; five grandchildren, Peggy Grizzle, David Freeman, Lisa Martin, Rita Kiser and Jordon McGlothlin; five great grandchildren, Monica Martin, Paul Martin, Kayla Huff, Lily McGlothlin and Ivy McGlothlin; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews; special friend like a daughter, Ellen Lewis of Lakeland, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Dennis White officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Saturday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
