Born on March 24, 1899, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Jacob E. Clifford and Jane Katherine (Green) Clifford. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by one infant brother, and one sister, Louisa Clifford.
Mrs. Beckwith married her husband on March 15, 1920, to their union were born one daughter and three sons. Mrs. Beckwith was the daughter of a preacher, and had lived in the area all her life.
Surviving are her husband, Ashby Beckwith; one daughter, Sarah L. Beckwith; three sons, Richard A. Beckwith, Paige M. Beckwith and Clyde W. Beckwith, all at home; one sister, Myrtle Bruce, and six brothers, James Clifford, Charles Clifford, Harrison Clifford, Ervin Clifford, Leonard Clifford and Floyd Clifford.
Services were conducted at the residence in Williamsport.
Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery.
