Everette William "Pete" Clem, 88, of Timberville, VA died January 16, 2013 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born November 15, 1924 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Turner and Ada Pence Clem.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII. He graduated from Timberville High School, attended Bridgewater College, and played baseball for the New Market Rebels. He was a member of Rader Lutheran Church in Timberville and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

On August 13, 1949 he married the former Twila Ryan, who preceded him in death July 2, 2011.

Surviving are one son; Ross Clem and wife Meg of Broadway; one daughter, Jan Fulk and husband Kenton of Broadway; and two granddaughters; Sarah Clem and husband Michael Barrett of Plymouth, Mass., Rachel Clem of Harrisonburg.

His sister, Evelyn C. Biller, preceded him in death.

Pastor Jeffrey Sonafelt will conduct a graveside service with military honors 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Rader Lutheran Church cemetery in Timberville, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Rader Lutheran Church.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. Friends may stop at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway to sign the register book. The casket will be closed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rader Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1123, Timberville, VA 22853.
