She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Southwest Philadelphia before relocating to the Cape May area for the past 30 years. Mae worked for Exxon in Philadelphia for 20 years and later worked for Douglass Candies in Wildwood for 22 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Francis T. Zane; three children: Dennis (Janis) Zane, Catherine Zane, and Glen (Madeline) Zane; four grandchildren: Robbie, Joseph, Gina, and Laurie.
Mae was one of 13 siblings of which two survive her.
A funeral service will be held 11 am on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N Cape May, NJ; where friends may call from 10 to 11 am.
Burial will be private in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
