Anna Lydia Galvin, 93, (nee Dingler) suddenly passed away on November 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Anna was predeceased by her loving Husband James Galvin and cherished Great Grandson Michael Scott Mariano. Devoted Mother of Joanne Meehan (Raymond), Eileen Scholl, and Maureen Smith (James); grandchildren include John Henning (Annemarie), Gina Mariano (Nicholas), Tracey Giordano (Raymond), Anthony Mariano (Lisa) and Angela Marciano (Kevin). A host of great grandchildren completed Anna's long list of immediate family members: Brooke, Taylor, Lauren, Samuel, Anthony, Jaxon, Sienna, Connor, Nicky, Sam, Fran and Mateo. Surviving is her only living sibling, a special dear sister, Bertha Shearman, and favorite niece and nephew, Allene Antonelli and Tom Shearman; as well as many other nieces/nephews/others too numerous to mention. Anna was surrounded by several close and dear friends that she kept in touch with through the years.
Anna was a joy to all with an infectious smile. She spent her last few years at Pitman Manor Assisted Living where she was affectionately known as the 'greeter' to all new arrivals. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and assist the 'elderly' as she would say.
Mrs. Galvin rests at Holy Angels Worship Center, 96 Green Ave., Woodbury, NJ 08096 where the family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 24th from 9-10:45 AM immediately followed by the funeral mass at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at New Saint Mary's Cemetery 515 W Browning Rd, Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pitman Manor Fellowship Fund in Anna's memory at 535 N. Oak Avenue, Pitman NJ 08071 or Michael Mariano Scholarship fund c/o Eileen Scholl, 702 Garrison Court, Mantua, NJ 08051.
