Kathern "Katie" Ramsey of Farmington passed away on October 22, 2004, at St. Francois Manor, at the age of 91 years.

She was born on September 7, 1913, in St. Francois County, the daughter of the late George W. and Anne (Bowling) Smith.

She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Mamie (Mrs. William Ragsdale), Addie (Mrs. Ralph Watson), Luvinia (Mrs. Marvin Cross), Leona (Mrs. Leonard Westmeyer), Susie (Mrs. Charles Rhodes), Minnie (Mrs. Louis Johnson), and five brothers, George Smith, Zeno Smith, Gus Smith, P.G. Smith, and Harlen Bowling.

She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington.

She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Bauer of Ste. Genevieve, grandson, Jim Bauer, and wife Teresa of Cape Girardeau, two granddaughters, Geri Ann, and husband Gary F. Vaeth of Ste. Genevieve, and Shelly, and husband Robert Woll of O'Fallon, four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Amanda Vaeth, Joseph and Michael Woll, and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Reginald) Ramsey, and Alma (Mrs. Leeman) Scott.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2004.

A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Dr. William Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be directed to American Heartland Hospice or to the First Baptist Church of Farmington.
