Tod Robert Epperson was born on September 18, 1987 in Pacifica, California and grew up in Groveland, California. He was a graduate of Tioga High School (2006), moving to San Francisco after graduation.

He was an energetic and capable individual and a strong supporter of gay rights.

From SFGate, January 10, 2013:

"He and his partner, Sid Payne, enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. Tod's wicked sense of humor, brilliance, loving heart and contagious smile touched the lives of all his family, friends and anyone who had the privilege of meeting him. His spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who love him."

A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the BeatBox in San Francisco, CA. Well over two hundred people attended to celebrate Tod's life and to emphasize that suicide is a very permanent solution to temporary problems, large or small.

In Tod's honor and memory, take a moment today and each day to extend kindness and love to those around you. Today, tell someone you love them.
