Daughter of James Harvey and the Addie Wilkerson Lane, wife of John Calhoun Johnson.

MULLINS - Mrs. Carrie Lee Lane Johnson, 102, widow of John C. Johnson, Sr., died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness.

Mrs. Johnson was born September 16, 1910 in Wayne County, NC, a daughter of the late James Harvey Lane and the late Addie Wilkerson Lane. She was a homemaker, an avid gardener and loved to fish. Mrs. Johnson was a member of North Mullins Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Johnson are five children, Louise Branson of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary Alice (Russell) O'Quinn of Tehachapi, California, Lucille (Joe) Johnston of Conway, John C. "Jackie" (Betty) Johnson, Jr. and Dean Sawyer, both of Mullins; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by a daughter, Carrie T. Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Art Ramsey and Rev. Teddy Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery.
