He was the son of Daniel Alexander and Mattie Fannie (Gill) McGee and married Velma Tipps 24 Dec 1941 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. His obituary follows:

Albert McGee of Fayetteville died last Saturday in Lincoln County Hospital following a long illness. He was 76.

The funeral was Monday at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Little and the Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

A native of Lincoln County, Mr. McGee was the son of the late Daniel and Mattie Gill McGee. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.

Mr. McGee was a veteran of World War II and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Tipps McGee of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Diane Smith of Talladega, Alabama; one son, Terrill M. McGee of Kingsport; one sister, Mrs. Farnelle Lane of Fayetteville; one brother, William McGee of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren.
