Betty was affectionately known by many, as well as her family as "Nana on the Farm." She and her husband Bill had a beautiful home and farm in Suwannee County known as "Sunrich Acres." I can only imagine that it may have been named in her honor because of the sunshine that shown through on this friends face and the beautiful smile that could be seen in most all of her pictures. She was a delightful person and loved by many. My friendship with Betty goes back to my childhood in Pompano Beach where she made her home during her teen years.

Betty was an active member of her church, where she is laid to rest and one of her passions during the last years has been the "shoe box" ministry at Christmas. she was always proud at how many her church had put together for children during this time of the year that is sponsored by the Billy Graham ministries.

She is survived by her husband Bill of 55 years and three beautiful children; Sheri Rock of DeLand, Florida; Kim Bennett of Cumming, Georgia and Todd Council Richardson of Deland, Florida; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Betty had been for many years a substitue teacher in the Suwannee County School District. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and her many friends.

Daniels Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Her service was held on Saturday, January 12th and burial follwed in her church cemetery.

Any remembrance of Betty during this time can be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church/Children Shoebox Ministries, 15824 169th Rd., McAlpin, Florida 32061.
