She was born June 11, 1911, in Goldwaite and moved to the Grassland community at an early age. She graduated from Grassland High School in 1928.
She married John F. "Jack" Richey on April 16, 1932, in Pleasant Valley. They moved to Slaton in 1938. He died June 28, 1999.
She was a homemaker and a craftsman. She was a member of the Jolly Quilting Club and Hub City Wheels RV Club.
Survivors include two sons, Wyman Richey and John Richey, both of Lubbock; and two sisters, Odetta Bucy of Dallas and Opal Ray of Post.
