POST- Services for Opal Ray, 93, of Post will be at 10 AM Monday, July 16, 2012 at Post Church of Christ with Travis Sweet and Sonny Bevers officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

She died Thursday, July 12 at her home. She was born October 20, 1918 in Justiceburg, Texas to Wesley and Nanny Greer. She married J. P. Ray on October 12, 1935 in Tahoka. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2004. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Jerry A Ray and wife Mary of Slaton; one daughter, Janet Dean and husband Bobby of Post; ten grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Maudie Faye Rose on December 6, 2006 and her husband Don Rose on July 6, 2004.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 until 5:30 p.m. at Hudman Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to New Mexico Christian Childrens Home, 1356 New Mexico SR 236, Portales, NM 88130.
