She was born May 4, 1930 in Brashear, MO to Arlo and Blanche Steel James. She married Marion L."Ross" Bix on September 11, 1971. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2012. Yvonne had worked at the Good Smaritan Center in Ottumwa for over 30 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Clouse of Ankeny and Donnetta Ware of Ottumwa; two sons, Michael Speer of Anaheim, CA and Patrick Speer of Plainfield, CT; 9 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Darlene Annis of Ottumwa and a brother, Larry James of Texas.
Her body had been cremated and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hearland Humane Society, Ottumwa, IA. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
