Anton Baca, 67, Edwardsville Route 4, died Saturday at 7:05 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital, East St. Louis, where he had been a patient a week. He had been ill three weeks.
Mr. Baca had been a farmer and had worked on the Edwardsville township roads.
He was born April 18, 1875 in Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Joseph and Marie Hatina Baca.
Surviving are a brother and four sisters, William Baca, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Rozum and Mrs. Fred (Agnes) Schardan, all of Collinsville, Mrs. Carl (Anna) Crane and Mrs. Alvin (Antonia) Davis, both of this city. A brother, Albert, preceded him in death.
Mr. Baca was a member of the CSA Lodge No. 26 of Edwardsville.
The body may be viewed at the Herbert A. Kassly funeral home, Collinsville, until the services Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Frank Novak of Edwardsville will have the lodge services. Interment will be in Buck Road cemetery.
