Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Friday, November 26, 1937:
  Mrs. Marie Baca of Glen Carbon Crossing, died at 4 o'clock Friday morning at her home. She was born on Jan. 1, 1870 in Kladno, Austria. Her husband preceded her in death in 1912. Three children also preceded in death.
  She is survived by eight children. They are Mrs. Joseph Rozum, Edwardsville, Mrs. Carl Crane, Edwardsville, Mrs. Fred Schardan, Collinsville, Mrs. Alvin Davis, Edwardsville, William Baca, East St. Louis, and Anton, Albert and Frank Baca, all of Edwardsville township. Thirteen grandchildren and a brother, Frank Hatina of Bohemia, also survive.
  The funeral will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. Mrs. Clarence Bishop of the J.C.D. Lodge and William Snadjr of the C.S.A. Lodge will have charge of the burial. Interment will be at the Buck Road Cemetery.
