Services Held For Mojave Resident Matt Williams

Matt Williams, 64, passed away in Antelope Valley Hospital, Lancaster on June 15 after suffering a heart attack several weeks ago.
Born June 19, 1903 in Missouri he had lived in Mojave for the past 38 years. For many years he was a maintenance man in White's Motel. He and his family also operated a grocery store, the Tower café and lately had been in the gardening business in Calif City.
Surviving are his wife Ruth, Mojave, a son, Eugene, Bakersfield: daughter JoAnn Cobb, Lancaster: two grandchildren, six sisters and two brothers.
Services were held Monday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly of God Church with Rev. William A. Brewer officiating.
Interment was in Mojave Cemetery with Stickel Mortuary in charge.
