R. M. Hunter Services Held
Service in tribute to the memory of R. M. (Bob) Hunter, 84, retired Claude farmer, were held at 10:30 a.m. today in the First Christian Church at Claude.
The Rev. Ford A. Ellis, of North Amarillo Christian Church, officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. James Todd of Claude.
Pallbearers were Phil Campbell, Wilbur Cobb, Charles Stewart, Bert Wooldridge, Albert Rutherford and Dick McElroy, and burial was in the Claude cemetery under direction of N.S. Griggs and Sons.
Mr. Hunter died Saturday in a hospital at Bowie. He had been making his home in Bowie since his retirement in 1953.
He was born Aug. 18, 1873, in Bonham, and was a member of the board of elders of the First Christian Church at Claude.
Surviving are seven brothers and three sisters. The are C.B. Hunter of Claude, L. T. Hunter of Bowie, E. L. Hunter of Amarillo, J. B. Hunter of Little Rock, Ark., Hal H. Hunter of Fort Worth, Roy R. Hunter of Canyon, W. B. Hunter of Waco, Mrs. C. E. McKinney of Bowie, Mrs. Virginia McMillen and Miss Eula Hunter, of Fort Worth.

Bob Hunter Rites Conducted Monday At Claud, Texas

Funeral services were held Monday at Claud, Texas for Robert M. (Bob) Hunter, 83, who died Friday night in a Bowie Hospital after several months illness. Brief services were held Saturday at Bowie, before the body was taken to Claud, his former home.
He was born in Collin County, the son of John W. and Fannie Hunter, and spent hi childhood and early manhood in the Forest Grove Community. His wife was the former Miss Olive Cantrell of Lucas.
He lived near Bellevue for several years before moving to Claud where he resided 30 years, engaging in wheat farming. He had lived at Bowie the past four years with a sister.
Surviving are seven brothers and three sisters as follows: C.B. Hunter of Claud; Luther Hunter of Bowie; E. Lee Hunter of Amarillo; J. Boone Hunter of Aleppo, Syria; Hal Hunter of Canyon; Walter D. Hunter of Waco; Mrs. Maud McKinney of Bowie; Mrs. W.H. McMillen, and Miss Eula Hunter, both of Fort Worth. The late Dr. J. E. Hunter of McKinney was a brother of the deceased.
